Handmade with love by an artisan in Australia using only the highest quality materials, this black Agate necklace contains an array of beautiful Chinese Jade, Onyx, Tibetan and pressed, snakeskin and faceted Czech bead detail - to the point where most designer's would only use one or two of these in any given piece because of their cost, quality and rarity)

Starting on each side at the top of the necklace is a black and yellow millefiori bead with sun design, cream and black Agate, Czech beige pressed glass flower, beige ceramic bead with Chinese design, Chinese black lucite bead with Chinese designs, barrel shaped carved black Agate, carved bone diamond shaped cream bead with dark brown detail, black lampwork glass with tan swirls, curved rectangular shaped Agate donut with spotted beige and brown lampwork glass in the middle, Czech black aurora borealis coated saucer shaped faceted glass, absolutely gorgeous Tibetan bead set with glass pearls, gold tone flat round bead with sunray design, hollow carved buffalo bone with Chinese design, black Onyx scarab, large round Czech snakeskin glass and carved faceted cream and black Agate.

Formed by the deposition of silica in gas cavities in lava, Onyx is type of chalcedony which occurs in the forms of layers (banding) of a variety of colours. It is also cryptocrystalline, consisting of fine inter-growths of the silica minerals quartz and morganite. With a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale, Onyx comes from the Latin spelling. Onycha (ονυξ) was first reported by Pliny in A.D. 77, and was named from the Greek words to mean "a nail or claw", which referred to the yellow colour of the mineral at its first discovery.

In the middle is an absolutely gorgeous black Chinese Jade carved in a Chinese knot design, and dangles on the bottom contain an array of highly collectible and extremely beautiful bead detail including a carved horn tusk, gold tone tree of life, metal alloy lizard, gold tone Roman coins and Buddha, Onyx tusk, oval and round black lava beads, as well as various Czech glass beads. In the other dangles are even more metal alloy feather and leaf, black and cream carved bone tusks, mother of pearl round beads and a mother of pearl donut. At the back is a gold tone necklace extender, and all of these components have been linked together to achieve a very aesthetically pleasing dangly effect as you walk!
