History:
The original company, Neue Porzellanfabrik e.G.m.b.H. was founded in 1904 after an argument broke out at the old Tettauer Porcelain Factory. Quickly a new factory was built at the upper end of the village in Tettau by the original founders, three traders and former workers of the Tettauer Porcelain Factory. Here they would go on to produce exquisite, Dresden-style figurines and hand-painted birds, vases, ashtrays and an assortment of other household items until its closure in 1997.

The Secret:
Use your left hand to hold the mug, cover the siphon hole under the handle. Then drink by sucking on the first hole along the rim. The "prize" for figuring it out and drinking the beverage is seeing a nude woman in the lithopane glass bottom as it is held up toward a light.
