Vintage Native deals American Kiva Colorful Polychrome Bowl
Full of mystery as well as history, this Vintage Kiva Colorful Polychrome Bowl is a gorgeous pottery piece that displays beautiful colors and traditional kiva patterns all throughout. Made by an unknown artist, this bowl was crafted by stacking hand-coiled clay rings on top of each other and scraping them together smooth. They then fired the piece, and painted the bowl using various colors of poster paint, a popular technique utilized by some Native tribes throughout the mid-20th century to cut on production and to be able to produce more pottery pieces on a less expensive scale. This colorful bowl is 3-1/2" tall and 5" at the widest, and is vintage circa 1950's-1960's with commensurate wear, paint chips, and pits. This Vintage Native American Kiva Colorful Polychrome Bowl is a mastery of color on the perfect canvas!
