LARGE White deals Antique Bead Embroidery on Tulle ( Incl Faux Pearls ) , Lace Effect, Bridal Couture, Boudoir , Use for Appliques
Fantastic looking piece, with bead embroidery simulating lace. Perhaps this is a fragment of an early 20 c wedding gown
The piece measures 17 1/2" up top, 32" at the bottom and is 33" long.
There are two kinds of glass beads used her: small tubular beads which are somewhat faceted, and faux pearls. The embroidery is done on tulle which is VERY FRAGILE.
The piece is rather heavy with deals all these bedas, it weighs close to 1 1/4 lb.
The defects are described below. the part in the best condition is the center with those huge carnations.
Best use of this would be probably as appliques with a sturdy backing.
CONDITION OF EMBROIDERY: The good news, that the beads are staying put for the most part.
There are tears in the tulle, especially in the upper part, examples phots 5 and 6.
There are some holes on the side edges but those are rather sporadic. There is a visible brown spot on the left edge, photo 7.
Holes near the bottom, fraying of the bottom edge, last three photos.
