The Sea Star Wall Sculpture, hand carved in alder wood by California Wildlife artist, Richard Vest is a dynamic wall piece.
A brass plated hook on the reverse, makes it ready for wall mounting.

Signed and copyright dated by the artist, the work is for indoor display only with a
tung oil finish. Additionally, a signed Authenticity Certificate accompanies each piece.

Richard developed a neat technique for imparting the texture of the sea star.

After Carving the texture of the sea star, he uses a torch, darkening areas, giving it depth and a realistic quality.

The artist actually works from a dried sea star as the model.

This piece measures approximately 9" x 9" finding it's way into sea themed homes in hallways, bathrooms, near aquariums, and any wall where sea art is needed.

Many times customers will use one or two sea stars as extra accent pieces next to or above one of Richard's Pelicans or sea otters. It compliments those works nicely.

If the piece is completed at the time an order comes in, the piece will be shipped in 3-5 days. If the piece is in progress or carved for the order, please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery.

Richard ships via UPS ground insured constructing a strong box assuring safe delivery to your home or office.

Sometimes, for a small piece such as the sea star, USPS is the choice for delivery. An email is sent out with estimated e.t.a. at the time of shipping.
