Antique French jardiniere, deals table centrepiece, small planter, La Belle Epoque, french home decor, table decor
I bought this lovely little antique French jardiniere at a brocante in Bourgogne, France. It is a beautiful little jardiniere for indoor use, perhaps as a table centrepiece filled with small flowers, or as a potpourri holder anywhere in your home. I have used it with scented antique French clay marbles instead of a potpourri :-). The ornate petite jardiniere, made of metal, probably spelter,has a silver finish which is still very much in evidence even rubbed and worn. There are a few tiny spots of verdigris here and there. It measures approx. 22cm by 7.5cm and stands approx. 6.5cm tall. Dating back to La Belle Epoque, it is a lovely piece of French home decor from that wonderful period.
