Vintage 1950s era metal smoking set. Made in Japan. I's a beautiful and elaborate set. Classic design of fans, butterflies, roses, swallows, cherry blossoms, and more. The tray has Mt. Fuji as the background. The set includes a cigarette box, ashtray, matchsafe, and tray. The pieces are heavy and well made. Photos really don't capture how beautiful the set is - it would look stunning on a vanity. It is a heavy weighted set - made with quality. It is striking to see. CONDITION: Overall very good condition. The set was used and it does show some scuffing, wear, oxidation on the metal as you would expect. The tray, cigarette case, and ashtray sit flat on a surface with no wobbling. The matchsafe has a small couple of small dents on the base which creates a little wobble, but I believe it may have had a piece of felt or something on the bottom long ago which would have helped that (it stands on its own and does not fall over, it just has a slight wobble).
