Rookwood Five Sided Flower Vase with Five Rectangular Feet in a Vivid Gloss deals Blue Top and Interior Glaze

This beautiful blue flower vase was made in 1924 by the Rookwood Pottery Company. Their glazes are known for their durability and beauty. This piece is no exception. The gloss interior and top lip is striking in its color and gloss. However, please note that their is some crazing in the interior -perhaps due to the glaze being too thickly applied.

The vase measurers 8 inches wide and 3 1/8 inches tall. It has 5 rectangular feet. The strength of the feet , their careful placement, and the weight of the pot would make it a fine vase for taller flower designs. It could also be ideal for Japanese Ikebana style arrangements.

The underside of the exterior is a soft matt cream colored glaze or a clear matt deals glaze. Please note that the glaze on the underside is a bit thick, however the #2805 and the Rookwood dating system can be easily identified.
