I am pleased to present you one of my illustrations from the Grimms Brothers fairy tale series "Ondine". This illustration represents two frogs who were man and woman, husband and wife. However, Ondine the fairy of the lake, tranformed them into animals. Thus, they find themselves separated for long centuries.
In the foreground you can see the wave of the lake and Ondine's hair still deals trying to catch them.
This illustration is created in the spirit of pantheism and animism; reality is divinity, all things make up an immanent and all-encompassing god. Second, plants, places, and creatures all have a distinct spiritual essence.
I wanted to represent Nature by painting it with gouache and to represent frogs by drawing it with pencils. It is therefore an illustration in mixed technique.
While creating this illustration, I was inspired by nature, Art Nouveau and Pre-Raphaelite painters.
This is an inkjet print from my original gouache painting on a very high quality print on Fine Art Hahnemühle Museum Etching 310g / m2 Limited Edition paper of 40 prints, each piece is signed and numbered.
Colors may vary depending on the screen.
The illustration is sent with great care and "good vibes" in a rigid unframed sleeve :)
You can order this illustration in A4 size.
