Embroidered Pique deals Jacket and Floral Cotton Lawn Dress

This is a DIY kit to make the charming two piece jacket and dress set as shown. The swing style, easy fitting jacket is constructed from 100% cotton pique, interlined with ‘Baby' interfacing, and fully lined with ivory Imperial batiste. The collar, sleeve edges, pocket flaps and back tab are embellished with hand worked chain stitch scallops and cast-on stitch flowers. The outer edges of the collar, pockets, sleeves, and perimeter edge of the jacket are bound with a micro check ¼” French bias binding. Learn fine finishing techniques when working with French deals bias binding ‘in the round' and with pre-finished ends. The pleated A-line style dress is constructed from 100% cotton lawn and features a center pique panel embroidered to match the jacket. The dress can be contructed with a traditional cap sleeve or a piped ‘bow' sleeve. Micro check piping and ¼” French bias binding coordinate with the jacket. The inside of the dress includes a micro check bound partial lining, French seams, and a mock Hong Kong finish on the hem. Pattern sheets in sizes 6 months, 1, 2, 3, and 4 will be included with each kit along with comprehensive color instructions.
