DESCRIPTION:
This one-of-a-kind handcrafted photographic transfer on reclaimed cabinet door is completely 100% made by me. I took the original photo, I collected the reclaimed wood and I personally meticulously transferred the ink onto the wood. It is suitable for gifts, home decor, and wall art. It is very durable and virtually indestructible because it is made entirely from wood and does not need framing, matting or glass.

PROCESS:
This mixed media wood photograph is made completely by hand as a phototransfer of ink to reclaimed wood (painted cabinet door). The process of phototransfer starts with a photo print of my original color photo. The image is edited, printed on paper, and then glued to the wood face down using special gel mediums. After the paper is completely dry, it is wetted and rubbed by hand to reveal the seamless fusion of ink and wood. The wood photograph is sealed with water/UV resistant varnish to withstand fading and staining. The final photo art can be hung with a metal hanger.

Wood photos deals are intended for use wall or shelf art. Like any piece of art, exposure to direct sunlight is not recommended. Clean by wiping with a damp cloth. Protect from scratching, soaking in water and direct heat. If you are packing, mailing or transporting the photo, wrap in parchment paper to protect from scratching or sticking.
The nature of the reclaimed wood and the variables of the phototransfer process result in some small imperfections which give the art piece character and make it unique. Please take a close look at the detail images in this listing to make sure this photo is exactly what you want.
