Many Afghan rugs are all wool and some Turkish and Iranian rugs have a silk base but comparatively few. The design is solely geometric and the dyes used are not synthetic. It is a country rug not made in a city factory but likely made by one person on a home loom. It has three central medallions and an astounding deals 14, yes 14 borders . The colors are brown and tan. This rug is in good condition for its age, has no spots worn to the foundation and has no stains.
