These are a beautiful pair of cufflinks made with genuine Canadian King George V five cent coins dated from 1914, over 105 years ago commemorating the First World War. This pair of cufflinks are made from two solid silver five cent coins showing both the obverse (King's head) and reverse (date) of the coins. The cufflinks are made with a swivel back with an attractive diamond pattern on the swivel and are 16 mm in diameter.
They represent a unique part of history being minted in deals the year the First World War began. The silver five cent coins have been carefully cleaned to retain the original dark patina and character of the coins which are over 105 years old, whilst highlighting the beautiful silver details and date of these original coins.
