The design of this enamel tea kettle was clearly inspired by the iconic #117 kettle by Michael Lax for Copco. It has straight sides and the handle and knob are both teak. The handle is squared off at the top though--vs. the arched handle on the Copco kettle.
The knob is the same style found on the #119 kettle by Lax---bigger diameter, flat across the top and with a shorter post. Very stylish!
The kettle is a glossy, true white on the outside and dark blue-gray inside.
It has seen some use but is in very good shape. There's a chip on the edge of the bottom (see photo) that doesn't show unless you turn it upside down. You can see a hint of it if you get down at eye level with it when the kettle sitting on the stove or counter.
There's also a very, very tiny scuff on the top edge of the lid and some rust spots around the edge of the lid. The rust deals spots are hidden when the lid is in place---and rust is not a health hazard at all in small amounts like this, so no worries!
The inside shows very minor wear but no mineral buildup except for a bit inside the spout.
The teak parts are in beautiful condition!
