A very elegant set of antique cuff links from the Edwardian era, four different agate ovals with sterling deals silver fittings.
A very unusual find with gorgeous contrasts of stones and silver.
The oval shape is simple yet sophisticated on a cuffed shirt with both sides of the cuff having a 'face'.
+ All the Details
The cufflinks are of English descent, the mountings are unmarked sterling silver, tested and guaranteed as such.
The stones are four different Scottish agates, all highly polished and hand cut to shape with bevelled edges.
The cufflinks are joined by a short silver chain - long enough to work well with a double or folded back cuff.
The gemstone face pushes through the double buttonholes of a dress shirt to link the cuff.
Size: each agate oval measures .65 x .5 inches or 16 x 12 mm diameter and just over 8mm in thickness.
Age: early 1900s
Condition: Excellent. The underside of the carnelian oval has a small chip, possibly part of the original cutting - please see images. All ovals are very slightly irregular in shape.
Janne's Notes
