On offer is this lovely collectible small photo album. It's in good condition overall - the pages are very loose where they meet the spine; notable fraying to the spine as well as general aged ware, scuffs and scratches over the exterior; all pages show notable brown foxed specks and one page has a ripped and missing top section; there are also numerous photos missing (please refer to images) but as shown all adding to the aged charm and character of the piece.

It's of traditional form and contains thirty three small black and white photographs relating to "The Birth of the Cocoa Bean and other stories of British West Africa" - the photos present have hand written annotations explaining the processing and delivery of the bean - certainly makes a fascinating read! Unfortunately there are fifteen photos missing from the album - majority being from the back pages.

Marked with the creators' name "R. Griffiths" of Lagos, Nigeria, circa second quarter of the 20th century.

It measures a charming 10.8cm (4 and 1/4 inches) by 8.3cm (3 and 1/4 inches) by 20mm and despite the condition issues raised is ready to be collected and enjoyed once again!
