HISTORY: The T. Eaton Company Limited, commonly known as Eaton's, was a Canadian retailer that was once Canada's largest department store chain. It was founded in 1869 in Toronto by Timothy Eaton. Filed for bankruptcy; assets were purchased by Sears deals Canada in 1999. Sears closed its doors on January 14, 2018.
