Made of delicate transluscent woodfired porcelain pods, shells , Artisan glass headpins and brass...those earrings are about 11cm long... very slight ;-)

Porcelain is the strongest clay for beads because it becomes like glass when it is highfired, that's why we can shape really delicate pieces !!!!


Those beads are highfired up to 1250° C with oxides colors then I add coldglazes patina in differents layers to enhance colors, avoid watering and don't use detergent , a touch of beeswax or olive oil is perfect for them.
I love to mix techniques and some collections include melted glass in porcelain....


Porcelain is the strongest clay for ceramic beads even if they appared like fragile things, they are fired two times , the first time at 1000 degrees to be strong enough for glazes and oxydes and the second time at 1250 degrees to fix glazes and oxydes colors, fire adds its own patterns; if you chose a jewel with gold leaf touch, just be more careful, because gold is add after .
I can sometimes use feathers , bones or horse hair on my creations, those materials have been found during my walks in nature, no animal has been hurt by me to collect this materials(, but the fox and the owl may be guilty ), i love to collect things i ve found in nature and associate them with porcelain beads that i create; Seeds and shells are an infinite source of inspiration; (colors can be a little different on your computer screen), a great thanks to our mama gaia....
