Bitsy is a handmade cloth art rag doll with a big knit hat, sweet yellow dress, puffy bloomers, and big feet. In her bag is her wool Flat Pet Bunny and a hand sewn wool felt carrot. Her face is meticulously hand painted and as sweet as can be. Everything arrives in a gift box ready to wrap.

Bitsy evolved from the many cloth fabric bits and pieces I used to create her. She is a handmade folk art rag doll, mostly hand sewn—with A LOT of stitches. She's modern but retro, quirky in Boho hippie style. She is pieced with colorful, textural fabrics, yarns, beads, and baubles. She wears flowers and fun shoes with tiny "dirty" seeds hand-stitched into her wool soles.

Bitsy comes with one of her many Flat Pets—named because they are relatively flat and fit nicely inside their mini carrier bags. Flat Pets are 100% hand sewn, soft wool felt dogs, puppies, cats, kitties, bunnies, or other funny pets that dwell in their own mini carrier bags.

Materials used to make Bitsy and her Flat Pets' clothing and accessories range from new, vintage, and antique cottons to retro aprons from the 1930's and up. There are deals cotton and silky fabrics, wool, burlap, and linen in solids, prints, and patterns in a rainbow of colors.

Bitsy is full of a little bit of everything, like a pre-apocalyptic gypsy, and she's just for fun. She's sweet and lively and makes a great gift for any occasion. She sits nicely on a shelf, coffee table, fireplace mantel, or desktop surrounded by antiques, candles, and other home décor items.
