Vintage 1940s Stratton gilt star powder compact with red crystal diamante. Sifter, puff and pochette. Boxed

This compact is a really great example of the rectangular range of Stratton powder compacts known as a "star". The curved lid is decorated with an attractive engine turned geometric design and 2 stripes of red baguette crystal diamantes . The whole compact is superb & has not been used. The mirror of the this powder compact is is excellent. The gilt gleams, and the inner lid, with the compact in hand logo, opens readily to reveal a clean powder well, sifter and puff.
