Corset for 1/3 scale ball-jointed dolls 1/3 BJD SD 1880s - White with Pink Lace deals

For your doll who loves Victorian fashion, here is a perfect miniature based on a real corset from the 1880s. I used silk taffeta for the outer layer and a cotton twill for the lining, and also actually put boning in the boning channels, and constructed it just the way I would if I were making a human-sized period corset! For the trimmings, I used lace, velvet ribbon, and a grosgrain ribbon bow to finish it off. A matching grosgrain ribbon is provided for lacing the corset up through the eyelets at the back of the corset. The corset is mainly machine sewn, with the trimmings having been sewn by hand. This corset was made to fit 1/3 scale ball-jointed dolls. Not all 1/3 scale dolls are the same size. The model doll in the pictures has a 9 1/4" (23.5cm) bust, 6 1/8" (15.5cm) waist, and 8 7/8" (22.5m) hip. Because it laces up the back, the corset does allow for a little variation in size either way.
