1950's T.V. Lamp combo Planter Ceramic Stallion Horse- Mid-Century - Works - deals Excellent Condition

1950's Stallion Horse TV Lamp and a planter to boot! It is coated with black glaze with white and gray accents. The glaze is more of a really dark green with lighter accents on the mane, etc.

It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. It is 15.5" across, 9.5" tall and approximately 5.5" deep.

It works with the original electrics, but I would not use it without a trip to an electrician. Safety first. I have it on my entry way table and use the "planter" openings for keys, change, etc.

When TV's first entered homes, they were advised not to watch television in the dark so TV lamps were sold as a way to add light to a room, yet maintain the deals ambiance of a movie theater. It's wild to think the planters were designed to be used so close to an electric source!

I love this horse, but we are letting go of old treasures to make way for new ones. I am hoping this horse finds it's forever home and is considered a new treasure for someone else.
