1940s Vintage Rare SIAM Chatelaine Pin MEKHALA & Ramasoon Sterling Vermeil Goddess of Lightening God deals of Thunder Siam Double Brooch w/ Chains

Here is a beautiful double brooch with triple chains or a chatelaine brooch as they are sometimes called. This one is unique as it is from Thailand (Siam) and made of sterling 925 with a gold plating and called gold vermeil.
The double brooches are the familiar figures from Buddhist mythology..the story of Mekhala and Ramasoon, the Goddess of Lightening and the deals God of Thunder. These figures are the common characters on Siam sterling silver jewelry that was popular in the 1940s.
The pins have loads of detail on the front; backs are smooth.
Each figure on this chatelaine pin measures 2" x 2" and both are marked STERLING 925. The figures are connected by three fine chains...the only flaw to mention is that the chains do get kinked and twisted. Other than that, this is a gorgeous piece which I have had for abut 30 years!
The actual pins in the back are a little bend from use but still work fine.
