This necklace has four blackened copper pieces which were inspired by the gaming pieces found in a cave at a Basket Maker site in Utah. The original pieces were made of bone by people living at the site as early as 100 - 300 AD. I made these pieces from copper metal clay and then blackened them with liver of sulfur. The round charms are less than 1 inch in diameter. The oblong charms are about 3/4 inch by 1 and 1/2 inches. The four copper charms hang on a black leather cord about 18 inches long, fastened with bronze crimp ends and bronze s-hook. The copper shine will naturally tarnish, just like a new penny, but it can be restored with a jewelry polishing cloth.
I have also made coordinating earrings in my Gaming Pieces line which can be seen in my Etsy shop at http://www.dklStudios.etsy.com.
Your new necklace will be sent in a gift box. The cost of shipping also covers insurance when shipped within the United States. deals
