Original Necklace designed with brass, shell, bone, silver and glass beads. Double strand Necklace with Bone Pendant, Vintage Pieces, Native Boho.

The Native Boho Necklace
These bone pieces and black beads were re-purposed from a Boho Necklace that I had back in the 70's when we wore peasant shirts and jewelry made from the earths givings. I added Puka shell from Hawaii and decorative glass beads, brass accents and gold colored and brass beads.

Double strand on bottom (see photos). One of a kind necklace.
Vintage pieces are mixed with more current finds and are difference sizes and shapes.
Clasp is sterling silver. Necklace measures approx 20 inches from end to end. Including the pendant the necklace hangs approx. 10 inches long around neck.

Puka shells originally were naturally occurring bead-like objects which can be found on some beaches in Hawaii. Each one was the beach-worn apex of a cone snail shell, a kind of seashell from a sea snail. Puka is the Hawaiian word for "hole" and refers to the naturally occurring hole in the middle of these rounded and worn shell fragments.

Unique and wonderful. Would make a great gift.
