Findlay Iron Ware Carleton deals Place Frying Pan

This little piece of cast iron is very hard for me to list. Mary is a little grumpy that I am listing it but I need to clean up.

When I was about 18 years old, I worked at a small company that did finishing and nickel plating and gold plating for the Elmira Stove Works. I had the glamorous job of grinding the rough deals castings of the stove lids until they were smooth and straight. The wood stoves we were building once were made by Findley located in Carleton Place Ontario. Tom Hendricks bought the rights from Findley and made a damn good wood stove!!

I only worked there for about a year or less. Life moved on and a few years later I married my wife and after many years I moved to Carleton Place. I started to pick up Findlay cast Iron soon after moving here. Most of my picks were plain black cast iron. Fantastic pans by the way!!

Findlay years ago, made a jadeite coloured stove and it is a fantastic piece if you ever see one! I didn't know that they also made a set of pans that matched the stove!! This is the only piece of enamelled Findlay Cast Iron cookware that I have.

This is a 6 inch pan.and shows a well loved finish with chips around the edges as pictured.
