Large antique cardboard box covered with antique hand blocked gold gilded wallpaper. Box opens up to quite a surprise. A set of two original lithographs of our former presidents; the very deals dashing General James A. Garfield (1831-1881) US 20th President, and the ever so stoic William McKinley (1843-1901) US 25th
President. And if that is not enough there is another lithograph
on the bottom of the box of Benjamin Harrison (1833-1901) US
23rd President.

All 3 are original lithographs, dating back to the 1800's as you can tell by the pixel and detail of the pictures. The W.M. McKinley litho contains (we believe) is an original signature.

The box itself was covered in original hand blocked wallpaper, with beautiful gold gilded foliage and greenery- a real treat for the home interior enthusiast.

Why these amazing old lithos were inhabiting such a beautifully decorated box is beyond us. Campaign posters? Owner was a former aficionado of everything presidential? The background on this box may be unclear, however the age and rarity of the piece is a definite treat to the collector.

Box measures 6" height, 15" width, 22.75" length.

Vintage condition (as an item with this much age would be). Very fragile, creases, tears, stains on the box and on the lithographs. In areas, you can see a different pattern on the box before the wallpaper was applied. Some of the wallpaper is
coming loose as shown in the last photo.
