Incredible to hold this coin, and imagine the places it has been, and the things it purchased, since it was first minted! The obverse of this example is well-worn, especially on its right edge. Interestingly, the reverse is beautiful and crisp! I wonder if the obverse was weak, when the coin was first struck? I cannot account for how this odd difference in wear took place. But, then, 205 years is a very long time. I sure wish that it could tell its tale! Due both to it's age, and the fact that it is made of solid silver, are good reasons to expect that this fantastic coin will continue to increase in value. What else could it do, after all? I am open to offers. Not crazy, foolish offers deals. But, offers.
