This is a great piece of vintage needlepoint art depicting an incredibly cute Yorkie or Cockapoo puppy dog sitting with head cocked on a green and blue background. With an array of intricate wool yarn colors depicting the puppy's fur, it is evident that this was produced by a highly skilled craftsman. Befitting the quality of the workmanship of this needlepoint artist, this was professionally framed in a light wood frame and circular matting by the world renowned Thor Solberg, Inc in Brooklyn, NY. likely in the 1960s. (Mr. Solberg died in 1967). There is a partial sticker on the back of the frame which was clearly the Thor Solberg Inc. sticker. The picture measures 12" by 12" in total with the needlepoint image in the mat having a diameter of 9". For its age, it is in very good overall vintage condition. The framed and backing are in very good deals condition with very minimal signs of marks or gouges. The needlepoint is in excellent overall condition and the matting shows some.
