This is a wonder full pendant. It simple Sterling Silver setting, but the Chrysocolla in it is anything except simple. The blue is incredibly vibrant deep blue that only Chrysocolla has. The black gives it a unique contrast. This is stunning and elegant pendant is one you could ware any time. I cut this this stone with love, and my son Thomas made the elegant Sterling Silver setting.

CHRYSOCOLLA the STONE

This Chrysocolla comes from Bagdad Arizona. Copper was discovered and a claim staked in 1882 there have been many incredible copper related minerals found in the Bagdad mine. The Chrysocolla found there is some of the most spectacular ever found. Stunning blues with wonderful banding sometimes intermingled with Malachite and Azurite . Sometime there are swirls. Quartz entwining with and combining with Chrysocolla some producing the rare and highly desirable Gem Silica
.

Chrysocolla is a hydrated deals copper silicate mineral .
The name comes from the Greek chrysos, "gold", and kolla, "glue", in allusion to the name of the material used to solder gold, and was first used by Theophrastus in 315 AD
