Dietz Lanter Red Globe Traffic Gard Syracuse Consolidated Edison Excellent Complete with deals Red glass Globe 1953-56 Railroad Traffic Lantern

This is a very nice Dietz No 40 Traffic Gard - with original Dietz Red Globe 40. Marked Consolidated Edison on the Tank and Dietz Syracuse NY on top of lantern. Bale and globe are original. It is deals in as found condition we have not cleaned or restored. The base looks very solid with very little wear and only one small ding on base . The rest of it as it should be. Great find and can be converted to a light fairly easily. Some 'residue' on exterior that kind of oily feel from kerosene. This was introduced by Dietz in about 1953, the smooth globe came out in 1958 dating this in between.
