deals Fenton brought back carnival glass in the 1970's, and several animals were included in the carnival assortments. By 1978 when this swan was done in purple carnival particular items generally were made for only one year. The swan isn't easy to find with this treatment. The swan was later done in a light blue carnival. The "Fenton in an oval" appears toward the bottom of the figurine. 1970's carnival glass is responsible for Fenton beginning to mark their glass in the mold. Thus no one could represent a piece of "new" carnival as antique. People liked the idea, and by 1974 they were marking all Fenton Glass. About 4" long and 4-1/4" tall with no damage.
