Original deals art graphite pencil drawing of old typewriters at Bowmanville Museum.

Museum drawing of antique typewriters. Small detailed pencil drawing on hard smooth hotpress watercolor paper. Black and white art drawing started with soft graphite pencil and finished with precise line and pencil hatching. Tones of this drawing range from the bright warm white of the paper to rich dark black. The dark soft shine of pencil drawing suggests the polished metal of the antique Underwood typewriter and steel carrying case beside it.

Over two years I made several museum sketches, detailed drawings and paintings at the Bowmanville Museum. In 2007 a solo exhibition of my art titled 'Things Unseen" featured my artworks inspired by the museum collection. This drawing was one of many museum sketches made on-site from within the museum's archive.

See also on Etsy, my small drypoint typewriter print of one of these antique typing writer.

Todd Tremeer is Canadian artist. His art studio is just a short walk from Bowmanville Museum. Besides painting Canadian landscapes he spends much of his time on painting projects themed around history and museums.

Paper size 8 x 11.5 inches

Framing Suggestions:
This drawing paper has softly torn edges on 3 sides and a 'deckled' natural edge on the remaining fourth side. The drawing goes to the edge of the paper. I recommend this pencil drawing be framed with the paper's edge exposed. This drawing also fits comfortably within a standard 8 x 10 inch window mat frame.

Message me if you'd like me for a Framed Art price. Custom picture framing takes about two weeks, I use quality hardwood ash, oak, cherry and Sapelle hardwood, glass and acid free matboard.
