VTG COUROC OF MONTEREY LARGE TRAY OWL deals & BIRD ON BRANCH HTF 18“x12.5" CALIFORNIA This stunning serving tray was made by Couroc of Monterey. Based on research, Couroc was founded by Guthrie Courvoisier in 1948. His wife, Moira Wallace, designed many of the inlaid patterns. Couroc trays are made of Phenolic resin, which is known for it's imperviousness to alcohol and flames. The company closed in the early 1990's. I have found several owl on branch and bird on branch patterns, however "Owl AND Bird On Branch" patterns are quite rare to find. This tray measures 18"x12.5" and is in great condition. There are no cracks, breaks, chips or repairs. There are a few surface scratches from age and use. (See photos).
