Typical style of 1930's to 1940's

The inside of the compact has a half moon mirror and a recess for a rouge insert. There is an guilloche engraved disc with a sifter and a hole for filling the powder compartment on the inside base of the compact. Puff not included.

Vintage guilloche compact with white enameled center. Delicate purple flower with green leaves set on pastel white enamel medallion on the front. A silver decorative garland guilloche motif encircles the enamel plaque and a garland borders the lid.

Guilloche refers to the engraved design and means "engine deals turned". The concentric circles design on the back is fabulous.


This amazing vintage compact has great engraved detail even on the silver tone back. A great gift for a bride or bridesmaid. Perfect as a purse mirror.
