Fresh find from a Chesapeake Bay Country Estate is this Antique WWII Merchant Marine Ships Distress Outfit Flare Boat Maritime Salvage rare find with this Ships Distress Outfit these were used on life boats and after the war were sold off with a large amount of them sent off for scrap. Brass screw on lid is embossed with raised letters, the can is free of rust, holes or repairs. It no longer has it original gasket to make it water and weather tight. A few dings and scuffs that you would expect to see on a original items from the 40's. Some stenciling remains on the sides and is hard deals to make out Measures 11 ¼" tall, 6" x 6" Check out my other items!
