These bells could be used for just about anything, they don't sound like farm animal bells, but they deals do look it.
Each bell of this wonderful set is stamped France. Made of brass still strung on a very old piece of cord. Has some natural tarnish/patina, but no cracks or splits on any bell. They are handmade indicated by the variation in sizes. The size difference is slight but each size is given below:

"Largest" bell is 3-1/2 inches tall, 2 inches wide at opening on bottom,
Next - 2-3/4 inches tall - 1-3/4 inches wide at opening on bottom
Second smallest 2-1/4 inches tall 1-1/2 inches wide at opening on bottom
"smallest: is 2 inches tall,1-1/2 inches wide at opening on bottom
