SIZING: To determine the size that is right for you, deals measure in millimeters (you may want to have a friend help!) the distance from your piercing hole to the outside lobe of your ear and ADD to that measurement how far away from your ear you would like the earring to hang. For example: My measurement ear hole to lobe is 6mm, so to have, say 3mm open space between the lobe and the inside of the earring, I would choose a 9mm size (6+3=9). Do the math and size up or down for the right fit for you. The smaller the size, the trickier it is to get in :)

GETTING THEM IN THE EAR: Getting these little guys in is best done with a friend, even for someone experienced like myself. First, the earring needs to be twisted (SEE LAST PHOTO) open to allow you to get it through the hole. Once in, have your helper twist the ends back until they meet. You may need to mess around with this stage a little to get the closure just right. Once in, they are meant to be left in place. Taking them in and out will deform the metal over time. That is just the nature of this style of hoop.
