Vintage 1960s Japan / Sun Bunnies / Sassy vinyl doll.
This adorable and whimsical Sun Bunny doll has that very characteristic cheeky stance so well known of these dolls. Her brightly colored green eyes and painted hand and toe nails further completes her iconic appearance. Sun Bunny has a quirky strawberry blonde hairstyle.
These dolls are known by many names, but most commonly as Japan, Sun Bunnies or Sassy dolls. They are from the 1960s and 1970s, and have become iconic vintage Japanese and Hong Kong dolls of that era. They usually don't show much indication of their make, and often only have Japan or Hong Kong imprinted on them. Anekona deals were one of the well known makers, and Imperial Crown Toy Corporation the most common importer of these dolls.
Condition: good vintage condition with some age related wear. Please note missing hair plugs on right hand side of forehead and three small ink spots on her left hand side. Marking: IKB on back of head. Height 30 cm (including ponytail).
