Life in rural West Berkshire is a constant inspiration. Long country walks with my family, interesting old buildings, country people, rolling landscapes, deals changing seasons and dramatic cloud formations are all things that will cause me to reach for my sketch book.

The things around me in my everyday life are what lead me into my paintings and inspire me, not the exotic or unfamiliar.

When I paint I try to reflect how the scene makes me feel using uninhibited marks and bold colour. I love using Acrylic on canvas it allows spontaneity and immediacy.
