This bonnet was featured in the February 2020 issue of Harper's Bazaar, worn by Anya Taylor-Joy (see images).
The base bonnet, Elinor, was the first style I ever created and has remained one of my most popular styles. It is created from straw braid and has a heavy gauge wire along the brim edge to help it keep it's shape. This version is trimmed with three rows of assorted eyelet lace and finished with wide ties and a jaunty bow. It reminds me of a shepherdess (or perhaps, Little Dorrit) The Ingres images at the end show similarly styled bonnets from 1816-1820.
