This gorgeous antique bowl is a stellar example of flow blue ceramics made during the Art Nouveau period. Made by Henry Alcock & Co. in the "Delamere" pattern, this lovely serving bowl features sweeping floral motifs and gold detailing. Although the gold is a bit worn, it is quite rare to find it tact at all in a piece of this age. Maker's mark dates this piece to somewhere between 1880 and 1910, and I believe it is likely pre-1900s. Some wear to surface, appropriate to its age, however there are no cracks, chips or evidence of crazing. Some additional minor signs of use may be present, as this is a previously loved item. Approximately 8 3/4" in diameter, just the right size for a side dish of fruit or veggies. It would make a lovely hostess or wedding gift for any collector. Please see all photos for details.
