Product code: Handmade deals Shibuichi Sugar Skull Pendant
Shibuichi Sugar Skull Pendant made by Lea Anne Hartman (business name AG Meadows) in Albuquerque, NM. Shibuichi is Japanese metalsmithing technique that produces a metal alloy made of one part of silver and three of copper, in fact Shibuichi means “one quarter." Previously used as a decorative technique to decorate samurai swords in the 1700s. Over time most sword makers had to change their field of expertise, so they started using shibuichi to handcraft decorative objects, such as jewelry, plates, and kitchenware, among others. This pendant is new and new and never used. I have worked in several art galleries and jewelry stores in NM and bought numerous beautiful pieces of jewelry, some that I never wore. This is one of them. I have a lot more handmade jewelry by other local New deals Mexico artists (myself included!), please check out my other listings!.
