VERY RARE Antique Fabric | deals Burgundy Birds Ticking | Home Decor Upholstery | 1930s Antique Mattress Ticking Chinoiserie

Fantastic vintage mattress fabric (ticking) in Bordeaux red. It is a European damask fabric from around 1930-1940. This piece, recovered and recently washed, was part of a mattress cover. This extra soft cotton fabric is lightweight. Perfect textile for decoration projects, cushions, bags, etc. Mixed pattern, large flowers, flowering trees, exotic birds, varied architectures such as pyramids, a castle, a rural house, etc. It is like a journey through many cultures.

This panel measures:

WIDTH: 86 cm. ( 33 in. )
HEIGHT: 75 cm. ( 29 in. )

CONDITION:
Excellent condition. Only light wear consistent with age and history but has no structural issues. Original color. Minimal scuffing or surface wear towards the side seams. One intact selvage. This fabric is freshly laundered and ready to use! No eyelets, center panel. An exceptional piece! Fantastic old condition. The lower right corner is irregular in shape.

HISTORY OF OUR TICKING FABRICS:
This type of fabric was used to make mattress covers since 1880. The motifs used are very varied: floral, oriental, country, palatial, or striped and the colors very bright. These fabrics were produced from 1882 to 1980 in the Area of Igualada, known for its textile industry. We have a collection of over 200 of these unique fabrics. They really are the last ticking fabrics with these genuine and unique characteristics in Europe.
