A beautiful Porcelain Bowl, Made in Japan, is next on the agenda.

This bowl has also been in storage and comes from the same lot as the Japanese Tray recently listed. Measuring: 9 3/4" diameter x 3" tall x 2 3/4" deep. The color is like steel Gray, but really it has several different shades of Blue and Gray which looks like it's been brushed deals on. To try to explain the look all I can say is it looks like when you make pottery and it's on the wheel getting shaped, this looks like they had a paint brush in hand and ran the wheel around. Beginning at one side and following the shape of bowl is large Blue line which swirls around all the way into the center, like water going down a drain, very unique. The top edge of bowl has 3 dips in edge which gives a different look, see pic #4.

The outside of bowl does not have the brushed look, nor the multi colors, a soft Gray is what I see. There are two large Blue marks on each side. The sides of bowl has 3 ridges working down to center, these are very soft transitions. The bottom of bowl has an area, unfinished, for the bowl to sit.

This bowl has a mark on the bottom but I cannot read as well as "Made in Japan" sticker. It comes in the original box, which is always nice, there is a sticker on side of box, it reads: Art No: ST 12563 as well as Name: which blank, Quantity: 1 PCS and at bottom of sticker is states "Made in Japan". This item has a somewhat abstract look.

A lovely accent piece, very unique.
