Volume 1 of 2 Contains 84 pp. text with 53 wood engravings, followed by 50 photogravures. Each art piece has an accompanying description on its own page with a brief summary of the piece as deals well as the artist that produced it, providing a nice context to the visual experience. The book is also leather bound, with Gold gilt-lettering and intricate beveled bordering. The frontispiece is beautiful. There is light wear to the corners and along the edges but the cover is in overall very good condition. There is a blank page on the inside that is creased. The rest of the book is quite clean, very slight signs of foxing, binding is tight, really a sturdy, nice copy.
