Practical pioneers used scraps of carpet and sewed them into roomy satchels to hold their belongings. Scraps of leather were used for handles just like the ones on this carpetbag.

Kirsten's Carpetbag was introduced to Kirsten's Winter Collection in 1987 and retired deals in 2009 with Kirsten's archival. It is associated with the book Changes for Kirsten.

Soft tapestry bag with flower motif. Brown leather top trim, handles and fastener. Leather flap slides into a slot on the front to act as the fastener.
