Silk Scarf Made in Italy Levino Verna Laurence Gross Black Polka deals Dots Bold Pink Orange Floral Lime Green Vintage Mid Century 1970s Broadway
deals 3 Large bold pink and orange flowers sit upon a sea of black polka dots. Orange and lime green trim. Silk scarf made in Italy. The names, Levino Verna and Laurence Gross, set in one corner of the scarf, took me down an unexpected research path. Levino Verna was a fashion designer and he designed for the costumer, Laurence Gross. From research this appears to be from a 1974 Broadway play, Absurd Person Singular.
From Levino Verna's obituary - Mr. Verna was a Dress Designer operating Levino Verna Designs in New York. He sold his designs to many major department stores, designer boutiques and designed for many celebrities and dignitaries. He also designed the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleading outfits in the 1970's.
This amazing scarf measures 30" x 30" and is in excellent condition.
