Vintage Hand Carved Wood Angel with Violin

Patrick Demetz wood art workshops are renowned all over the world for the wonderful wooden sculptures and statues made by the famous local sculptors and carvers. The workshops are located in Santa Cristina, Val Gardena, Italy.

This lovely hand carved angel with violin is hand finished and hand painted with stars on the robe and gold gilding on the wings. It is the work of many hands: the wood sculptor, the wood carver, the wood engraver, the decorator, the painter and the gilder.

The sculpture was carved from a single block of wood. Every single cut was worked by hand and every detail carefully hand brushed with deals oil based colors. The flowers on the robe are individually hand painted and the gold gilding carefully hand applied. Angel with violin measures 5-1/4" tall x 2-1/4" wide x 2-1/4" long.

In Very Good vintage condition.
