Walk like an Egyptian with these extremely elegant, truly unique and completely limited ‘one of a kind' pair of vintage Egyptian Revival earrings!

They come with extremely rare 1950s vintage beige Selro Selini mask face cabochons, vintage scrolled filigrees, an array of Picasso finish, matte gold bicone, beige floral, melon and lotus Czech glass beads, as well as vintage West German beige opal glass cabochons that shine blue coloured hues in the light that are simply spell-bounding!

These Art Deco statement earrings would also make *you* the perfect embellishment for any sort of special occasion such as a birthday party, gala event, photo shoot, cocktail party, formal event, on the red carpet! They would also be suitable as part of a Cleopatra costume for an Ancient World party, fancy dress party or Halloween, or as part of a flapper costume for a 1920s party, Art Deco party or Gatsby wedding!

They contain very old and extremely collectible vintage Czech and West German glass and brass elements original to the period - to the point where most designer's would only use one or two of these in any given piece because of their cost, quality and rarity.

This pair of long dangle beige and matte gold chandelier earrings with drops were inspired the Neiger Brothers and the techniques and designs emanating from the Czech Republic in the 1930s. They were also influenced by a major period of Western obsession with Egyptian antiquities - often referred to in the scholarly tradition deals as 'Egyptomania' - when in 1922 the discovery of King Tutankhamun's tomb saw Egyptian influences pervade modern culture. These motifs became an integral part of the semiotic language of Art Deco; a style which originated in France in the 1910s and dominated the decorative arts in Western Europe and the United States until the mid 1930s.

Starting at the top of each earring is a very high quality 24k gold plated lever back finding from Israel with a gold tone claw setting. Placed inside is an absolutely stunning handmade original vintage beige and gold opal glass cabochon from West Germany - which shimmers a gorgeous hue of royal blue when placed in the light!

Dangling from this is an original vintage diamond shaped scrolled filigree from the United States, and placed on top is an extremely rare and beautiful vintage beige Selro Selini mask face cabochon. Inspired by the creations of 1930s jewellery designer Miriam Haskell, who used the same element in many of her creations, this particular piece dates back to the 1950's and is particularly special because all of her 24k gold headdress detail has been fired on separately.

Tapering down from this is a beige Czech glass five petal flower with gold highlights that really make the detail in the design *pop!*, and dangling from this is a lotus shaped, concave curved and dotted Art Deco style stamping with five dangles. These include an array of gorgeous Czech glass detail including: tiny beige faceted Picasso finish beads, matte gold bicone shaped faceted crystals, beige melon beads with Picasso finish, beige lotus beads with gold highlights, and gold plated head pins. All of these components have been linked together to achieve a very aesthetically pleasing dangly effect as you walk!

The filigrees and Art Deco stampings on each earring have also been finished with a super pristine matte gold patina to emulate the look of ‘Russian gold'. Interestingly, manufacturers in the 1930s used tin solder; a material which contains nickel that some people are allergic to. Also inspired by the creations of 1930s jewellery designer Miriam Haskell, they have been protected with a special varnish. Some with originally about 90 years worth of natural patina, we have undergone to great lengths to ensure the very aesthetically pleasing antique looking finish. This makes them more hypoallergenic, which means they won't stain your skin or clothes!
